Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as an anchor and journalist for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. O'Dell's reports in Charleston regarding the police's tolerance when it comes to DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to investigate. The result was the state government imposing more stringent guidelines in these cases. The Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell with an award for the Best Report of the year Award for all South Carolina media. After her time in Charleston O'Dell worked as a anchor, co-anchor, and investigative reporter for the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to joining Access Hollywood as a weekend co-anchor and weekday correspondent. O'Dell's current role as a host on Access Hollywood is complemented by the work she has done for NBC News Today, Dateline NBC and NBC News. She covered events such as The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals for The Emmys & The Golden Globes.
